Esshan ie Ishwar(North-east) - From this direction He (vastu Purush) grants us wisdom,knowledge and serve all comforts and relieves us from sufferings.
Indra(East) - From this direction he is the king of angels. He gives wealth and all pleasures of life.
Agni/Fire(South-east) - From this direction he gives us beautiful personality and all the best of life.

"Vastu" is the science of building and essentially the art of balancing nature with man-made environment and correct placement of man in such a manner so as to get the maximum benefits of the energy emanated by natural and man-made environment.Vastu can be corrected without demolition. Vastu can fruitfully be applied to the areas of our activities. We should initially concentrate on areas, which affect our life, i.e., where we live and work. We all care about our homes and spend time, effort and money, trying to make them more comfortable. For most of us it represents one of the biggest investments we ever make. Our home (the architecture of our homes) can damage our health, the air we breathe and the water we drink, without our even being aware of it. Similarly, at the places where we work, environmental stresses contribute to overall load, preventing us to reach our full potential. Resisting these external forces becomes more important for growth and development. We are enveloped by a series of environmental hazards in our day-to-day life, which leads us to inevitable and endless physical and mental disorders. Harmony with the environment, peace for the spirit and health for the human beings are the criteria for healthy homes. These have deep roots in the human experience and in traditions of home building, according to the cultures across the world.

VAASTU :-AN EXPERT SCIENCE

First and foremost Vaastu Sastra is not a religion but a science. The philosophy and concept of Vaastu Sastra has more to do with complex mathematical calculations along with the energy lines of the earth.
Faith is not a prerequisite to success. Instead effective creation of energy and positive vibration, flow of balance and harmony are required.
The Principles
Vaastu Sastra is based on precepts laid down thousands of years ago in the Indian classics like the Puranas and Vedas. It concerns the order - the harmony of heaven and earth and ways in which we as humans can keep the balance of humans intact.
Few examples (just skimming over and touching the basic principles of Vaastu Sastra - only to make a person aware of what exactly it pertains to) are listed below.
While buying a site :
1. Select a site where the land is fertile and not dry and rocky.
2. Avoid water logged land or a site at the end of a road.
3. Avoid land too close to graveyards, cemeteries,
crematoria or hospitals.
Building a house :
1. Regular shapes in houses with squares and rectangles are far superior to angular houses with protrusions or L-shaped and V-shaped structures.
2. Avoid U-shaped houses. People in these would face a great deal of hardship and unhappiness.
3. Avoid triangular shaped houses that have too many corners. The angles are not conducive in attracting positive energy.
Doors :
1. The main door of a house should never directly face a church, temple or cemetery.
2. The door formula states that the number of doors inside a house should be even in numbers and not odd numbers. They should not end in zero. There should be an odd number of doors in line.
3. When doors face each other, make sure they face each other directly.
Staircases :
1. A staircase should never begin in front of the main door nor end directly in front of a upstairs door.
2. Staircases should ideally be curved gently rather than straight.
3. Spiral staircases are not auspicious.
Industries :
1. The land for an industry as advised by our Ancient Masters should not be where the air is stale, where plants cannot flourish, where soil is dry and lifeless, where surroundings are harsh and threatening and where shapes of hills are sharp and pointed.
2. The main shed or building should be constructed in the south west sector of the entire land leaving more space in the north and east direction and less space in the south west direction.
3. The overhead water tank should be located in the north east sector.
4. The raw material should be stored in the western area and the finished goods in the north west sector.
Just a few of the basic principles of Vaastu Sastra have be touched on. There is a lot more to be studied and understood in detail for the best results. This may be further discussed if required. Do remember that Vaastu Sastra is not magic. It does not have instant results. It is necessary to be patient and allow time for the positive energy and currents from the cosmos to enter the home or office and industry and await harmony and balance.
Vaastu should be looked upon as a science and ancient wisdom that has survived through

Vaastu shastra is an ancient science which helps one to get the natural benefits freely offered by the five basic elements of the universe in which we all live. These basic elements are Akash (SKY), Prithvi (EARTH), Paani (WATER), Agni (FIRE), and Vayu (WIND). Vastu Shastra can be applied by keeping in harmony with these basic five elements of nature. It is an edifice science that was developed by our learned people thousands of years ago. Its application today is purely architectural and its principles are based on becoming one with nature. Like astrology and palmistry it is a vast & complicated science, easily misunderstood by most people.
Most people all over the world will not think twice before spending huge amounts of cash on designing their houses and they should rightly do so. But when the house does not bring them peace and harmony and instead the ill effects of vaastu are experienced the same people consult astrologers, palmists, tarot card readers and some blame their destiny or luck.
Vaastu is essentially the art of correct settings one can place himself in such a manner as to derive maximum benefits.
The ancient relics say that Vaastu is based on two forces "positive" and "negative" which are constantly interacting with each other on the surface of the land. These forces should get disturbed whenever any structure is erected on a vacant land, to maintain a balance.
If there are more positive energies (forces) than the negative energies, the result of such a construction would yield more benefits to the inmates leading to a more successful, healthy, wealthy and peaceful life, contrary to this if the negative energies dominate the premises the effects could be negative.
